After graduating from Ecole Centrale Paris and from Sciences Po, Alexandre Kateb worked as an economist and financial expert for public and private institutions (Banque de France, BNP Paribas) before founding the consulting and advisory firm COMPETENCE FINANCE.
Alexandre is a recognized expert in economic and financial analysis, strategic advisory and risk management for governments, financial institutions and non-financial corporations. He has published a book on the largest emerging economies – the BRIC countries – titled « Les nouvelles puissances mondiales. Pourquoi les BRIC changent le monde » (Ellipses, 2011). Alexandre lectures in international economics and finance at Paris Institute for Political Studies (Sciences Po).
In addition, Alexandre contributes to various think tanks in France and abroad (Institut Choiseul, Institut de l’Entreprise, Institut Amadeus). He regularly writes op-eds for leading print and digital media, including a weekly op-ed in La Tribune. He is frequently interviewed by radios and TVs on various subjects related to economics, finance, politics and international relations.
